Dr. Nusrat Hakim's areas of specialisation include anterior segment surgeries such as phacoemulsification and refractive surgeries, Lasik oculoplasty and anti-glaucoma surgeries. Dr. Hakim has recently successfully ventured into endo-nasal DCR procedures as well.
Dr Nusrat Hakim is part of the Saifee Lasik Surgeons LLP. This team recently unveiled a state-of-the-art LASIK suite at Saifee Hospital. The Microscan Visum 500 is an ophthalmological excimer laser system of the new generation and will be used to conduct laser eye surgeries (LASIK).
The LASIK suite will be largely used to conduct laser eye surgery to treat near-sightedness, far-sightedness and astigmatism, allowing one to get rid of glasses permanently and achieve spectacle-free vision. This is a pain-free procedure and usually completed within 15 minutes for both eyes resulting in improved vision.
